These small arrangements decorated the guestbook table and gift table at a white and green themed wedding. Each one featured three white roses floating on top of eucalyptus seeds submerged in water.

I made these cute little arrangements for a little girl’s party. She loves jellybeans, and the party colors were various pastels with lavender and pink leading the way. These arrangements feature lavender and pink mums with matching ribbon and pastel jellybeans.

This is a larger bridesmaid bouquet, to be held across the arm, towards the elbow. It features pink, white and lavender tulips and eucalyptus leaves and seeds. The bouquet is hand-tied with pink iridescent ribbon and pinned with white pearls.

Here is a detail of the ribbon and tulip colors.

So I made some Republican elephant cookies for the local Republican Women’s Club. The people consuming them at the meeting ate them while saying that they (the cookies) were a symbol of the new Republican upsurge. My brother (a hardcore liberal Democrat) ate them with glee, proclaiming that by eating the cookies, he was chomping down on the strength of the Republicans. Whatever the message, they were shortbread almond cookies with almond icing and lemon cookies with lemon icing. (If you are wondering, I can make the Democrat donkey cookies, too!)

Anyway, I thought I’d do something different this time and post the whole creative process:

Rolling out the dough and cutting out the cookies.

Here’s a sheet full, ready to go in the oven.

And they come out of the oven.

Painting on the icing and adding the stars.

An army of Republican elephants!

Here they are on a plate.

A Sexy Valentine

MyGoodFairy has teamed up with the wonderful Soraya Duke of Cosmopolitan Photography for a beautiful, sexy bridal boudoir photo shoot. Two gorgeous brides decided to present their fiancés with something a bit more risqué than the usual Valentine’s Day Hallmark card – boudoir photographs of themselves! MyGoodFairy provided bouquets and arrangements for the shoot, some of which you can see in these photos and videos. This was one of MyGoodFairy’s most fun projects to date!

I was so excited to see the Miss America competition last night on TLC – I was rooting for Spotsylvania County’s own Caressa Cameron, Miss Virginia. She is so beautiful, poised, well-spoken, educated and has a gorgeous voice. It is wonderful that they chose her to be Miss America 2010!!! :)
